Today i refitted my webbing. Ditched the garand belt for riggers pouches. I also rearranged my belt contents, for a more authentic look.

This i chose not to go out on the piss. I instead stayed in and watched Kelly's Heroes for the first time. Its actually a very enjoyable light hearted film. I was expecting your normal Clint Eastwood Gung-ho Film, Donald sutherland steals the show though.

Jay, I think they're excellent, and good value - much better cut on their tunics than the Sturm ones. www.reenactment-box.com

... spent very little at Stoneleigh, but more than usual - a couple of Brit type pocketknives for £5 the pair (being degreased now) and an original MP40 sling for £25 (meh, repros are £20)

Managed to not see Yith or the Blaggers but bumped into Helga, which was nice.

...finished the upgrade on the S&S Garand. With the addition of a nice tight bore barrel and new Spring i should be getting a much healthier 330-340fps. Was firing at 260-70fps before.

watch out jerry

It'll be wintry with that stuff a lot longer than snow as well... It's a right bugger to hoover up.

Just don't ever try sanding the stuff inside... that's madness!

I got a £1000+ tax rebate PLUS £70 interest - suck on that Mr Brown!

I'm also continuing my pre-M1A1 Thompson refurb - hope to get is done by Sat Training Day...

And today I also lost a lot of time (but time well spent) in forum banter with some top blokes who know the difference between a debate and an argument...

Today, I tried on all of my Brit' kit for the first time. Glad to say it all fits and looks pretty good, the webbing is a revelation for me, being used to German stuff that drops to bits the second you try to put it on! Also did a bit more work on my Sten project.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Sent my newly refurb M2 helmet off to be weathered and battle scarred. Also to have its 506th spade painted on.
